Parent/Teacher Conference

Please sign and return the form that I'm sending on Friday, Aug. 26th. This informs you of the upcoming Parent/Teacher Conference night. I'm exciting about spending some time with my parents and reviewing over the Second Grade goals for the year. Sign up for the time that will be convenient for you and return your form ASAP. Thanks!

Shaved Ice

Shaved Ice will be sold during P.E. again this year. The dates are: August 26, Sept. 23, Oct. 6, Oct. 25....Please send the correct amount. The cost will be $1.50. (No checks please)

1st Week of School!

We've made it through the first week of school. Hopefully, we have learned where to go in the afternoons for our bus and car riders. I still have some students that have not learned their lunch numbers. It's very important that they learn this number because I use it for other programs also.
**Money: There are a few of you that have still not sent in the Library and T-shirt fees. Please do that as soon as possible. Make checks separate from other fees: CES t-shirt $6.00, CES Library $5.00
**It's very important that you listen to your child read at least 20 minutes every night. I have already pulled each child and listened to them read. I'm already concerned about comprehension skills. We will start going back in the story and finding how to answer different types of questions. Please ask questions about the story after they read with you to help reinforce comprehension skills being taught at school.

Welcome Back to School!

Open House will be Thursday at 6:00 pm
Where do I go? You will go to your child's room for open house. Go to the Second Grade Building, Green Pod, Room E118. Please bring your supplies to Open House. Remember to label all supplies with your child's name. Check your child's behavior chart each night, and remember to read to or with your child for 20 minutes each night.

First Day of School will be Monday, August 15th. Please make sure that I know how your child will go home the first day and then everyday after that.

Money that will be due:
T-Shirt Money: $6.00 Make check payable to CES.
Library Fee: $5.00 Make check payable to CES Library. This check must be separate from other fees.

Please fill out and return all papers that are in your child's folder. (Please return the papers on the return side only!)
