May 15th: PTO Movie Night
May 19th: Honor's Day Party in the classroom from 9:30-10:00
                  Program in Gym: 10:15-11:00
Please send in $3.00 for juice, cake and paper goods for the party before the Honor's Program.

Art Project

On Tuesday, Dec. 17th we will be having a day of Christmas Fun. The teachers in Green Pod will be rotating 30 minute activities. One of the activities planned will be an canvas art piece that they will be able to take home. We are collecting $10.00 per student to pay for the art teacher, supplies for her, and supplies for the activities planned in the other three rooms. Please have this money turned in by Tuesday, Dec. 10th.

Book Fair this Week in the Cafeteria/Hours will be 11am until 1pm

PTO Meeting: Blue Pod will be performing/Math on the Mayflower Night (6 pm-7pm)

Great American Fundraiser started Nov. 1st. It will end November 22nd.

Student Council Installation will be Friday, Nov. 8th at 9am.

We will have Counseling and Music this week.

No school on Monday, November 11th, Veteran's Day.

Red Ribbon Week

Monday: Wear something red
Tuesday: Crazy socks and Pajama Day
Wednesday: Costume Parade starts at 8:30; Should be over around 9:30; Classroom "Special Snack" after the Parade. I plan on doing an art project with them before they leave. Remember, Wednesday will be half a day for the students. Teachers have professional development after students leave.
Thursday: Team Spirit Day: Drug Free Pep Rally at 2:00
Friday: Polka Dots or Animal Prints

Juice Flavored Shaved Ice

The P.E. department will be selling shaved ice. The scheduled dates are Aug. 28th, Sept. 11th & 25th, Oct. 11th & 24th. Please send $1.50 CASH for each day, at least two days in advance. Make sure that you send exact change with the student's name and homeroom teacher clearly identified. The money will be used to purchase additional P.E. and playground equipment.

First Week of School!

Oh my goodness! I can't believe all the sweet children that I have this year. This week we are just learning school rules and procedures. Hopefully, next week we will start moving toward a more structured curriculum schedule.

    Bowling Field Trip: Costs $10.00 (Money is due no later than Friday, April 19th) The field trip will be Friday, April 26th. Remember if you are planning on being a chaperone, you need to make sure and fill out the background forms with Ms. Myrtle.
